In-Person Sunday Worship Services to Resume
May 9, 2020, 8:00 PM

Leesville Family and Friends,

We are excited to be worshiping together again. Services begin Sunday at 10:45. I am looking forward to seeing each of you!  I’m reminded of the challenge in Hebrews 10:24-25 “Let us not give up on meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage each other and all the more as you see the Day approaching.“

We will take all the necessary precautions and follow the State guidelines. We will spread out in the sanctuary, so you may not get to sit in your regular seat. At this time, we will not resume Sunday School, Children’s Church, Sunday, or Wednesday night activities.

Steps the Church will take:

  • We will prop open doors before and after the services so you don’t have to touch handles or knobs.
  • Every other pew will be left empty (these will be marked).
  • Providing hand sanitizing stations at all open entrances.
  • Ensuring sufficient social distancing (6ft) during our services between family units.
  • Thoroughly sanitizing the sanctuary and communal spaces before each service
  • Postponing the resumption of meet-and-greet times, the taking of communion, and the passing of the offering
plates until a later date. Offering plates will be available on the table in front of the sound booth and on the
    Welcome Desk in the foyer.

Steps you should take:

  • If you are in a high-risk category, for your own safety, please consider staying home.
  • If you feel ill in any way, take advantage of our online service option and only return to our in-person meetings when you are well.
  • Always maintain social distancing while on our campus, including before and after services and in our parking lots, taking care to especially avoid
physical contact, such as handshakes and hugs.
  • Take advantage of the hand sanitizing stations when entering and exiting our facility

There are a wide variety of feelings and thoughts on how to respond to these gradual changes and we want to be aware of and respect the difference of opinions shared by members.  Please keep these verses in mind as we adjust and resume worship.

Philippians 2:3-4Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others”.

Grace & Peace,

Bro. Neal
